How do you guys trade in a up/down channel? using protocol?

How do you guys trade when you notice that the pair you are trading is in a channel? (up or down)

Just a noob question.. not use to the protocol yet.

I don't really like trading channels, I prefer to stick with stable trends. Channels are too rough and choppy.
