My best thumb of rule: 1%-2% of your current equity for any next trade position (subtract your equity also from the current opened positions considered as taken out by stop loss)

Leverage only really comes into full use if you want to risk huge amounts with only small capital, or open multiple high risk trades as it reduces margin requirements.

The bottom line is, leverage only gets used when you're risk is at extremely high amounts for your account. Otherwise 1:50, 1:100 is fine for normal swing trading.

You will understand more about leverage because leverage is actually a double-edged sword. On the one hand it can provide benefits but on the other hand there is a danger of not realizing most traders. The danger is only realized when the money runs out because of the auto cut because the capital is not enough to hold floating loss. Using BASIC account with FXB Trading, you can using leverage 1:1000

Leverage is the investment strategy of using borrowed money: specifically, the use of various financial instruments or borrowed capital to increase the potential return of an investment.
